Working Class?
Posted by chele at 1:03 am in In the news

I’ve noticed a theme running through everything Hillary and Barack say in their speeches. The working class family. Where does that leave everyone who is forced to live on disability or supplemental security income? The majority of people who are forced to live on disability or ssi have to make ends meet on less then $1000.00 a month. Those on ssi generally only get around $600.00 a month. I haven’t heard a single word from either of them about this problem. I know the working class families don’t have it easy either, but at least they have the opportunity to work and make a bit more a month. I heard in passing Hillary comment that they needed to focus more attention on the people who only make 50,000 a year instead of the ones who make a million a year. If a person is making 50,000, I don’t see that they need any focus or help. Give me 50,000 and I can not only live on that, I can survive a few years on that. lol
Anyways, I’m just wondering why neither of them have mentioned the lower class people, do they think maybe we’re too poor to get to the polls? Maybe it’s because they know we don’t have any money to give them. Wonder how many more votes the first one that said people on ssi would get at least the equivalant of a minimum wage job?
